Join a National Park Service Ranger to learn about Major Charity Adams and the 6888th Central Postal Directory Battalion. The 6888th were the only African American women to deploy overseas during World War Two. Their mission was to work through a backlog of mail waiting to be sent to service members overseas. Major Charity Adams was a graduate of Wilberforce University and called Dayton, Ohio home after the war. Targeted for Grades 5-12.
