Main Library

Description

The world is full of different cultures, artwork, and ways of life--and with the library, you can explore them without ever having to travel!

Intersecting Interests is a laid-back media club for likeminded individuals who want to explore diverse media. We'll look at current events, featured diverse YA titles, and share media recommendations from art, poetry, film, and more while discussing what we share through an intersectional lens.

Topics include race, national origin, LGBTQ+ identity, socioeconomic class, physical and mental ability, education, health care, different religions, philosophies, and more in a supportive setting. Ages 13-18.

Featured Titles for September-December:
September: The Spirit Bares Its Teeth by Andrew Joseph White
October: Punching the Air by Ibi Zoboi and Yusef Salaam
November: Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe by Benjamin Alire Sáenz
