Teens (Learn To) Chill Out!

4:00 PM – 5:00 PM
Main Library

Description

It's time to hit the books... to learn how to handle hitting the books! Learn how to handle stress and anxiety, manage your time, practice legit self-care (not bubble baths), and boost your self-esteem with resources from our teen librarian so that YOU have the tools to be your best self and live your best life. Sometimes, a deep breath and some water just aren't enough, and if that's true for you, you're in the right place. You've got this!

Upcoming topics:

  • January: Identifying stress
  • February: What does self-care really look like?

Each program has a journal prompt--materials for journaling will be provided while supplies last. Folks can journal independently, discuss the day's prompt, do stress-less activities, and explore resources for teens just trying to survive!

**Disclaimer: Library staff are not mental health professionals, case managers, or social workers, and will never ask for sensitive information. This program is not a replacement for psychiatric treatment or counseling--it seeks to share concepts and activities from existing library materials and/or in partnership with local professional organizations.
