How is researching African American family history the same as researching other U. S. family history and what unique challenges do African Americans face in their investigation? What specialized resources to explore African American genealogy are available through the library and free websites? The presenter is Shawna Woodard who was the Dayton Metro Library genealogy librarian for more than 20 years. It is recommended to take the Genealogy Basics class scheduled for February 2, 2026 before attending this class.
