The 5th Annual Social Justice Speaker Series continues with Ryan Goodman (he/him), a beef cattleman, agriculture advocate, and ultrarunner.
With a lifetime of experience across the beef cattle industry, Ryan brings a lived, firsthand perspective shaped by working in production agriculture, land-grant university research systems, and national advocacy and communications roles. His work sits at the intersection of agriculture, identity, and community, helping people navigate difficult conversations with respect and patience for others.
Goodman is the founder of Pride In Agriculture, a grassroots initiative focused on visibility, belonging, and practical conversation tools for LGBTQ+ people and allies in agriculture, especially those living and working in rural communities.

Through Pride In Agriculture, Ryan has reached hundreds of thousands of people and created space for stories and conversations that are often overlooked in traditional agriculture settings. His work emphasizes practical allyship, everyday leadership, and the power of visibility beyond Pride Month.
Outside of advocacy and agriculture, Ryan is an endurance trail runner who regularly competes in 100-mile ultramarathons.
