Meet the MC: MoPoetry Phillips

MoPoetry Phillips is an international spoken word artist, activist, and leader within the community who graduated from Northern Kentucky University in 2011 with a B.A. in English. She is an Appalachian poet and a member of the Urban Appalachian Community Coalition. She was one of the first two African American women certified as a poetry group facilitator through Women Writing for (a) Change within their first twenty-eight year history, and served on their Board of Directors, Cincinnati location from 2019-2022.
