Come and learn the science behind geodes! These interesting rocks contain a hidden surprise- if you can crack them open! Have a go yourself- and keep what you find! Afterwards, learn more about how geodes are formed. This program is intended for teens (ages +12). Important note: due to the use of a hammer and other tools for this program, all interested patrons under the age of 18 must have a parent or legal guardian sign a permission slip (which can be obtained from the library). The signed form must be returned any time up to the very beginning of the program. Geodes, hammer, safety goggles and all other tools will be provided.
