From Protest to Paint: The Boston Tea (Paint) Party

2:30 PM – 3:30 PM
Miamisburg Branch

Description

American colonists protested unfair British taxes by dumping shipments of tea into Boston Harbor.  It was a bold act of resistance that showed people could speak up creatively against rules they thought were unjust.

Just like the colonists used tea as a symbol of protest, teens can use tea as a creative tool - turning it into watercolor paint - to express ideas, experiment, and make their voices visible through art.

Tea becomes both a historical symbol and a medium for self-expression.
