EventsTeen Craft and Learn -- Crochet Star

Teen Craft and Learn -- Crochet Star

6:30 PM – 7:30 PM
Main Library

Description

Finances, planning for the future, adult life skills. These are topics that are important to learn about but also a little bit stressful, or even boring. So come to the library! We'll have an educational lesson prepared to learn about these important topics, with simple craft supplies on hand to de-stress and entertain.

This month's meeting is learning how to crochet. We will be learning basic stitches and techniques (magic circle, slip stitch, single stitch) to make a small star. These small stars can be used as a bag charm, decoration to attach to clothes or accessories, or strung together to make holiday decorations. Just in time for America's 250th anniversary.

A librarian will be on hand to answer any questions you may have and provide more resources for learning. Join us at the library, make something cool, ask lots of questions and learn something new!
