Every year in June, the Gay Pride parade is a wild party. But it hasn't always been like this. 2020 marked the 50th anniversary of the pride parade, the first time that gays and lesbians walked the streets in New York publicly proclaiming themselves as out and commemorating the Stonewall riots that had occurred a year earlier. This program features activists who tell the story of their lives before Stonewall, discuss the rebellion, and their organization for the march a year later.
